Ford Motor Company looks to CSI

Ford Motor Company follows the lead of popular CSI tv series by using a CT(Computed Tomogaphy) scanner for car parts.  Ford found they could save many man hours by using the CT equipment for detecting minute flaws in car manufactured parts.  CSI New York featured a CT reader that displayed a 3D holographic image of the human skull.

Prophet sees God

In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.
Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
And one called out to another and said,
"Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts,
The whole earth is full of His glory."
And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke.
Then I said,
"Woe is me, for I am ruined!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
         And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs.
He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven."

Who is God?

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

The above verse tells us that God has spoken to us.
What are two ways He has spoken to us?

Proof of Jesus, Proof of God

Is there literature outside of the Bible to prove Jesus lived, performed miracles, died, and rose from the dead?

Origen in 240 AD comments on Josephus, a first century jewith historian.  He mentions  Josephus' satement that Jesus was the brother of James.  Origen mentions that Josephus did not accept Jesus as Christ.  Tertullian born, 155 or 160 AD who was a  roman citizen, made statement of his faith.  He stated, ' At His own free-will, He with a word dismissed from Him His spirit, anticipating the executioner's work. In the same hour, too, the light of day was withdrawn, when the sun at the very time was in his meridian blaze. Those who were not aware that this had been predicted about Christ, no doubt thought it an eclipse. You yourselves have the account of the world-portent still in your archives.
But, lo, on the third day there a was a sudden shock of earthquake, and the stone which sealed the sepulchre was rolled away, and the guard fled off in terror: without a single disciple near, the grave was found empty....
All these things Pilate did to Christ; and now in fact a Christian in his own convictions

Is that bit of history convincing? What do you think?

Obama's hoop dreams

President Obama is well known for playing pickup games of basketball for fun.  In August 2010 President Obama was joined on the court for a pick-up game of basketball by about a dozen professional basketball greats.  LeBron James remarked that Obama passed better than expected on key plays during the game. At the same time Obama was gaining points on the court, the jobless numbers likewise shot up to 9%.  After  election day in November,  Obama sought distraction from rising unemployment numbers and an angry electorate, by playing basketball. Sport commentators characterized Obama's fieldgoal percentage as better than expected.  Later in a November 26th pickup game Obama, after taking an elbow to the face which afterwards required 12 stitches, played with unexpected energy on the court.   Obama hopes to some day  apply what he has learned on the court to economic policy.
