ARK CONTROVERSY

A vocal group of controversy-critics has arisen to find fault with the recent announcement to build a  full-sized Ark.  Critics have voiced their concern in the Kentucky Courier-Journal.  An unamed editor commented, on Dec 29, 2010, "that the state would be out taxes the park could collect before it went under".  Ken Ham, responded on Dec 31, 2010 on his journal, that, "the tax incentive is a partial rebate, not a complete one. Therefore, in the absence of any project in the region, the State receives no revenue. So the revenues that the State collects, even at a reduced rate, are a net positive."

The Ark is to be the centerpiece of a bible-based theme park that will include eight additional theme park attractions.  Answers in Genesis (AIG), one of the partners in this mammoth project, is currently raising $24.5 million dollars for the construction of the Ark.
