The Ice Limit

A 10,000 ton, intact meteorite is discovered on an island on the southern tip of South America.  Palmer Lloyd, a mult-billionaire, proposes to secretly recover it from the ground and transport it to his musuem in America.  Mystery light and radiation burns the first man on the scene who  partially uncovers the extra-terrestial object.  This is a 2000 AD fictional publication called, 'The Ice Limit' by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.  More to come.

USS Enterprise

USS Enterprise is no longer JUST the icon Star Ship Enterprise.   The first days of the new year have revealed that the USS Enterprise is also a  nuclear-powered Navy aircraft carrier and the  home of bad-boy Capt. Honors.  Captain Honors has made news with scandalous 2006 and 2007 videos where he used profanity, and sexual references.   Captain Honors has been removed as captain of the the Enterprise.  The "gay guy" is out.

Mystery death of 5,000 plus birds

Over  five thousand blackbirds fell from the sky in Beebe, Arkansas.  Sixty-five dead birds were collected for testing.  The incident was localized to a mile area.  Conjecture: cloud of toxic gas; manna and meat from heaven; or mass suicide, Jim Jones style,  by a cult-like bird following.
